FAQ's

Do I meet fitness requirements?

Be advised:  a rider who is under 230 lbs may still be unable to ride if their height/weight ratio is too high. Please review fitness chart.

Physical fitness is one of many factors that determine your ability to safely participate. We reserve the right to decline service to any individual that, in the opinion of the management, cannot be safely accommodated.

NO REFUNDS are issued under these circumstances. It is your responsibility to know your current weight before arriving at the ranch to avoid any disappointments.

Can I use a mounting block?

No, we do not allow mounting blocks. You must be able to get on from the ground with little assistance. If anything were to happen on the trail, bathroom break, weather emergency, etc. we must be able to get you back on from the ground.

What should I wear/bring?

Long pants, closed toe shoes, phone and a water bottle is all you need. There are no spots to eat any snacks.

NO alcohol, cans, glass or carbonated beverages.

What is the age minimum?

Our age minimum is 7 years old and at least 46 inches tall. Kids must ride on their own horse.

Is there an age maximum?

While we do not have a set age max, we do not recommend anyone over the age of 70. This is a very physically demanding activity. Anybody with any knee, hip, back surgeries etc. are not recommended to ride.

What if I am late or do not show up for the ride?

No shows will be treated as a cancellation and be charged the full amount.

If you have not arrived before the scheduled departure time, rides may leave without you. We have a limited number of guides and we cannot keep other groups waiting/cut into their ride time.

What if I get scared or cannot get on my horse to ride?

This will be treated as a cancellation if you do not ride. You will still be charged. Keep in mind that your booking is preventing others from going.

Can I still ride if I am pregnant?

No. We do not allow any pregnant riders, no matter how far along you are.

Do you cancel for weather?

We ride rain or shine. We will only cancel or delay for thunder/lightning or hail storms. We provide rain jackets.

Can I wear my cowboy hat?

All cowboy hats MUST have a strap. Wind can be unpredictable and we cannot risk any hats flying off and spooking the horses, even if it has been custom fit to you.

Where are you located?

47200 Gallatin Rd Gallatin Gateway, MT. We are about 20 minutes from the Mountain Village, and about 10 minutes from the Town Center in Big Sky.

We are about an hour from Bozeman and West Yellowstone.

How early should I arrive?

Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled ride time. This allows you to get checked in and for the guides to give a safety speech so you can depart on time.
