Fitness & Safety Requirements

At Clover B Ranch, our goal is to keep both riders and horses safe while ensuring everyone has an enjoyable Montana adventure. Horseback riding is an active outdoor activity that requires balance and a reasonable level of physical fitness.
Weight & Height Guidelines
For the safety and well-being of our horses, we maintain a maximum rider weight of 230 lbs.
Be advised: a rider who is under 230 lbs may still be unable to ride if their height/weight ratio is too high.
Physical fitness is one of many factors that determine your ability to safely participate. We reserve the right to decline service to any individual that, in the opinion of the management, cannot be safely accommodated.
NO REFUNDS are issued under these circumstances. It is your responsibility to know your current weight before arriving at the ranch to avoid any disappointments.

Rider Requirements
-
NO mounting blocks! Riders must be able to mount from the ground and dismount with minimal assistance.
-
Riders should be comfortable sitting in the saddle for up to two hours and holding the reins to guide their horse.
-
Good balance and core strength help riders stay comfortable on varied terrain.
-
We recommend riders be in moderate physical condition and free from recent injuries or medical conditions that could affect balance or mobility, including knee, hip, or back surgeries.
